A temporary exhibition devoted to the great artist of the first generation of Cypriot artists, George Pol. Georghiou, whose work is directly connected to the people and history of Cyprus. In comparison to the larger body of Georghiou’s work, his small number of female nudes, with some exceptions, belong to the private sphere of his life.
A large number of Georghiou’s nudes will be on display for the first time. The exhibition will take place at Claude Monet Hall, with the initiative of Constantis Candounas and the approval of the artist’s family.
Claude Monet Hall, Coco_Creativity Centre
Exhibition duration: 16 May – 2 September 2019
Exhibition curators: Eleni S. Nikita, Loukia Loizou Hadjigavriel
